Look at the curves below 👇🥵. They are coming from a fairly simple exploitation by John Burn-Murdoch of a long-standing survey provided by the University of Southern California : the « Understanding America Study », which is maintained by the Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR).
The survey measures respondents’ personality traits by combining their answers to a long-established battery of 44 agree/disagree statements, each of which asks the respondent how well or badly a particular behaviour or description applies to them.
They have been a serie of papers in the recent weeks showing the long-lasting consequences of COVID on Gen Z mental health. We need a wake up call.
